The Rhinelander High School girls’ basketball team put on a defensive masterclass on the road Thursday, Feb. 12 against Merrill in Great Northern Conference play.

Pines girls’ hockey co-op scores season-high nine goals
The Northland Pines girls’ hockey co-op split a pair of games to conclude the regular season. The Hayward co-op defeated Northland Pines 2-0 on Thursday in Eagle River. Then, the Eagles beat Viroqua 9-1 on the road on Saturday.
