Hodag girls’ soccer takes down Medford to get back in win column
After traveling to Menomonee Falls to gain experience against the talents of Cedarburg and Menomonee Falls, the Rhinelander High School girls’ soccer team found the win column again when they traveled to Medford to take on the Red Raiders in a GNC matchup on April 28. Up 1-0 at half, the Hodags scored three times in the second and cruised to a 4-1 win.

Zero-doe-harvest quota to be recommended to Deer Advisory Committee
With the statewide Citizen Deer Advisory Council (CDAC) meetings wrapping up, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Deer Advisory Committee will soon review CDAC harvest quota and season framework recommendations. Towards the end of May, the DNR administration will review harvest quota and season framework recommendations as well, before the final proposal is made to the Natural Resources Board (NRB). The NRB will approve final deer season structures during their scheduled June 24 meeting in Kenosha.
Hodag tennis beats Lakeland, but loses ground in GNC race

Fundamental focus for the RHS trap team
The Rhinelander High School trap team, now in its ninth season, is off and gunning on there weekly competitions at the Hodag Sports Club. The team has 30 shooters this spring, and they will conclude league shooting on May 28-30 when they travel to Minocqua for the Great North Trap Conference (GNTC) shoot.

Wisconsin Conservation Congress spring hearings held statewide
The Wisconsin Conservation Congress (WCC) held their annual spring hearings on April 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. in all 72 counties. Public comment was welcomed at the hearing, and questions were taken by a panel of Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) staff and WCC members.
