The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference Realignment Task Force re-evaluated the football-only conference plans remanded by the Board of Control in March during a meeting April 11.

Lamers scores twice, Hodags notch first win

Ava Lamers scored on an end-to-end effort in the 67th minute, which proved to be the difference in the Hodags' 2-1 victory over Washburn in a non-conference contest at Mike Webster Stadium.

Softball: Medford takes advantage of chances, beats Hodags 5-0

Zayleah Leonhardt had a two-run homer in the first and Allie Paulson added an RBI single in the seventh. Those were Medford's only two hits, but the Raiders took advantage of some other opportunities and defeated the Hodags 5-0 in the Hodag Dome.

Team preview: RHS golf

Duplicating last year's success will be far from easy from the RHS golf team - especially considering the team graduated three starters off of last year's squad - but coach Adam Schmidt said he is hopeful that his team and turn heads again this year.

Track: Hodags place top 3 in GNC Indoor

The Hodag girls were the runner-up and the Hodag boys were third at the GNC-plus Indoor meet at Northland Pines High School in Eagle River. The meet included all seven GNC schools, as well as Three Lakes on the girls' side.

Hodag tennis opens season with Lakeland sweep

The Hodags, who are seeking their ninth consecutive conference title, swept Lakeland in the Hodag Dome. Rhinelander, which returns eight starters from last year's championship-winning team, won six of the seven flights in straight sets.

The Rhinelander High School baseball team got a strong varsity pitching debut on Friday, but it was not enough to earn a win in a non-conference doubleheader to open the season.
