Veterans Pool Tournament a success
The inaugural Veterans Day pool tournament, held last Saturday in Tomahawk drew strong support. Tournament organizer Misty Bergsrud stated the event raised more than $8,200, which will be presented to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight later this year.

Sectional six-peat
The Hodags won seven events Saturday and advanced 18 of their 21 entries through to the WIAA Division 2 state meet as they rolled to their sixth consecutive D2 sectional title in Menomonie.

Bowling roundup: Hodag boys’ varsity splits opening matches
The Rhinelander boys’ high school club bowling team split its first two matches of the season in Wisconsin High School Bowling Club District 9 competition Sunday. The Hodags started with a 7-2 loss to Antigo before bouncing back with a 6-3 win over Iola-Scandinavia.
