Rebels trounce Tomahawk in GLNC opener

Everybody in the Rhinelander Post 7 lineup hit the ball well and the Rebels got a gem from ace Jacob DeMeyer in a 19-0 victory over the Tomahawk Cubs in the Great Northern Legion Conference opener Friday at Kahle Field.

The Rhinelander High School junior varsity golf team tied for second in a nine-hole Great Northern Conference match at Rhinelander Country Club Friday, May 4 and followed it up with a runner-up performance at Black River Golf Course in Medford Monday, May 7.

Copper Country gymnasts compete in Waupaca

The Copper Country youth gymnastics team, comprised of a number of Northwoods gymnasts, competed in the Splish Splash Invite April 14-15 in Waupaca.

Swim club competes at Midwest regionals

The Rhinelander Swim Club had 16 athletes participate in the 2018 Midwest Regional Swim Meet earlier this month at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. To be eligible to compete in this meet, the swimmers had to have qualifying times in each of their events.
