Help prevent the spread of invasive species

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reminding the public to take simple precautions to avoid spreading invasive plants and animals all year long.

First Fish

Amelia “Millie” Pollack of Chicago caught her very first fish while enjoying a recent vacation in the Northwoods. Millie hauled in a 6-inch largemouth bass using a nightcrawler. She was fishing on Lake Mildred. The fish was released back into the lake.

Tough conditions on Lake Nokomis

Saturday, June 29 brought the second stop for anglers in the Wisconsin Bass Team Trail. The anglers took on Lake Nokomis on a tough, windy day. Of the 30 teams who fished, only 11 were able to bring in a limit of fish.

Upper Midwest Bass Challenge takes on Willow Flowage
