James George Birginal

James George Birginal, age 91, of Pine Lake, died on Oct. 23, 2024, at the Aurora Bay Medical Center in Marinette. He was born on Aug. 7, 1933, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Sylvester and Justina (Goeken) Birginal.

Mother charged with reckless homicide

More than four years after the death of her 4-month-old baby, a Rhinelander woman was charged last week with first-degree reckless homicide. Geana L. Terry, 37, made her initial appearance in Oneida County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon before Judge Mary Sowinski.

Oneida County launches new community health plan

The Oneida County Health Department (OCHD) has announced the launch of Oneida County’s new Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP is a comprehensive approach designed to address the pressing health needs of our community, department officials explained in a press release.
