Track: Hodag boys win, girls take 2nd in Tomahawk

Rhinelander won nine events on the boys' side and cruised to a 28-point win over host Tomahawk in the five-team Hatchet Invitational. Despite resting nearly their entire distance crew on Tuesday, the Hodags finished second in the girls' standings only 22 points behind Tomahawk.

Mosinee beats RHS softball 11-4

The Rhinelander High School softball team hung with Mosinee better than it did when the teams met last month in Mosinee, but ran out of pitching down the stretch in Tuesday's rematch.

Heck named WISCA coach of the year

The Rhinelander High School swim program received statewide recognition on Sunday for a banner season for both its boys' and girls' teams.

Late surge powers Hodag softball past Tomahawk

Lily Treder hit a go-ahead double in the fifth inning and the Hodag scored seven times in their last three at-bats to defeat Tomahawk 9-2 in the Hodag Dome.

Hodag baseball drops GNC games to Lakeland, Mosinee

A five-run third inning was the difference on Thursday night as the Hodags fell at home to Lakeland 5-4 at Stafford Field. On Saturday, top-ranked Mosinee had four innings in which is scored four or more runs as it swept a road doubleheader from the Hodags by matching 10-0 scores.

Hodag soccer cruises to 10-0 win over Antigo

The Rhinelander High School girls' soccer team took a team-first approach on Friday against conference back-marker Antigo and had plenty of success.

Hodag tennis makes short work of Pacelli

The Rhinelander High School boys' tennis team briefly fell out of first place in the Great Northern Conference late last week. The Hodags vaulted back into the lead with a dominant performance on Friday and will look to stay there this afternoon in a big conference doubleheader.

Hodag track takes 6th in Wisconsin Rapids

Six was a common number for the Rhinelander High School track team on Friday night. The Hodags scored six top-three finishes and took sixth place overall in both the boys' and the girls' divisions of the Gene Noonan Invitational in Wisconsin Rapids.

Hodag tennis falls to SPASH in battle of conference leaders

SPASH won three of four singles flights and took a win at No. 3 doubles to edge the Hodags 4-3 in Stevens Point. The Wisconsin Valley Conference leaders held off the leaders of the Great Northern Conference in what could be a key matchup for subsectional seeding later this month.

Back in the dome, Hodag softball splits games

Mother Nature forced the Rhinelander High School softball team back inside Monday and Tuesday but the Hodags were still able to get in a pair of Great Northern Conference games.
