Hodag tennis wraps up title at suspended GNC meet
Rhinelander went a combined 13-4 in a long day of tennis to lock up its ninth Great Northern Conference title, but still had four individual championship matches in the balance when play was suspended due to darkness following more than nine hours of tennis.

The Rhinelander High School boys' cross country team has entered the conversation as a legitimate Great Northern Conference title contender. On Thursday afternoon, Rhinelander edged defending conference champion Tomahawk 35-47 for the title in the Three Lakes Invite at Big Stone Golf Course.

The Rhinelander Hodags welcome the Antigo Red Robins to Mike Webster Stadium tonight for the 87th playing of the Bell Game. Following last week's monumental 28-14 win at Medford, a win would also serve as another mile marker toward the team's ultimate goal - a Great Northern Conference title.

Laggis reaches podium at Smiley
Cal Laggis set a personal best and finished 15th overall in the Division 1 field as the Hodags placed 10th of 22 teams Saturday at the Bill Smiley Invitational in Wausau. Rhinelander was fourth best of 12 teams in the D1 Small classification.
Hodag swimmers sink Lakeland, move to 3-0
The Rhinelander High School girls' swim team had the kick when it mattered Thursday night as it won 10 of 11 events in a 113-46 victory over Lakeland at the Heck Family Community Pool.
