The Rhinelander Post 7 Rebels weren't able to survive a loss and still win their home invitational this year. In fact, after a woefully played defensive game Saturday night, Rhinelander needed a response just to keep from finishing last in its five-team invite.
Team review: RHS baseball
Rhinelander went 8-14 overall on the season and finished tied for fifth in the GNC with a 4-8 league mark. Still the Hodags showed improvement down the stretch, going 5-4 over their final nine games - with two of those losses coming by a single run.
