Hodag golfers take third in the Dells
The Rhinelander High School golf team finished behind two of its Great Northern Conference rivals in a non-conference triangular in Wisconsin Dells late last week, but showed some signs of promise to kick off the 2023 season.
Jumpers stand out for Hodag track at Waunakee Quad
Rhinelander scored three wins on the boys side, and Callie Hoerchler took the long jump on the girls' side, as the Hodags took second in the girls' division and third in the boys' division of the Waunakee quad.

Lamers scores twice, Hodags notch first win
Ava Lamers scored on an end-to-end effort in the 67th minute, which proved to be the difference in the Hodags' 2-1 victory over Washburn in a non-conference contest at Mike Webster Stadium.
Softball: Medford takes advantage of chances, beats Hodags 5-0
Zayleah Leonhardt had a two-run homer in the first and Allie Paulson added an RBI single in the seventh. Those were Medford's only two hits, but the Raiders took advantage of some other opportunities and defeated the Hodags 5-0 in the Hodag Dome.

Duplicating last year's success will be far from easy from the RHS golf team - especially considering the team graduated three starters off of last year's squad - but coach Adam Schmidt said he is hopeful that his team and turn heads again this year.
