The Rhinelander High School volleyball team presented its year-end awards Sunday during a banquet in the RHS commons. The awards were a mix of coach-selected and statistics-based honors.

Softball season cranks up in the dome

Though the calendar says November, softball season is just heating up in the Hodag Dome, which hosted the 16-team Hodag Fall Frenzy tournament Nov. 8-10.

Veterans Pool Tournament a success

The inaugural Veterans Day pool tournament, held last Saturday in Tomahawk drew strong support. Tournament organizer Misty Bergsrud stated the event raised more than $8,200, which will be presented to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight later this year.

Sectional six-peat

The Hodags won seven events Saturday and advanced 18 of their 21 entries through to the WIAA Division 2 state meet as they rolled to their sixth consecutive D2 sectional title in Menomonie.
