Central Intermediate School students attended a back-to-school open house Tuesday evening. Students and their parents were able to see classrooms, meet teachers and become acclimated to the school environment. Similar open houses were held at James Williams Middle School and the district's elementary schools.
RHS Class of '86 paints over section of 'the rock' during reunion weekend
Sometime before Friday morning, someone put fresh white paint over some of the graffiti on the rock behind Rhinelander High School, touching off complaints that the RHS Class of 1986 had unfairly painted over messages left on the landmark by other alumni. (subscriber access)

Preparing for pomp and circumstance
Members of the Rhinelander High School Class of 2016 will receive their diplomas Sunday afternoon at Mike Webster Stadium. The class practiced for their final walk Thursday morning inside the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
Crescent students rewarded for good behavior

Central School continues tradition with 21st annual flower garden
Fourth-grade students have planted the 21st flower garden at Central Intermediate School. Each year, students are involved in the planning, fundraising, and planting of the garden. The first flower garden was planted when Beth Hanson of Hanson's Garden Village, was a fifth-grade student in Mike Wiernasz's classroom at Central School.

The fifth-grade classes at Central Intermediate School immersed themselves in history Thursday, portraying famous Americans as part of a living wax museum project.
