Got some old not in use electronics collecting dust? Why not give them a new life! The town of Newbold and COM2 Recycling Solutions is holding a free electronics recycling event. Anyone can recycle electronics, you don’t have to be a Newbold resident. It’s also free to recycle.

RHS FBLA/DECA club takes on Trick or Can food drive
Rhinelander High School’s FBLA/DECA club announced that its Trick or Can food drive collected more than 750 food items for the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry. Roughly 16 FBLA/DECA members participated over the course of the two-hour pickup time (from 1 to 3 p.m.) on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Rhinelander electors OK tight school district budget, tax levy amid state aid shortfall
The School District of Rhinelander held its annual meeting of the electors Monday, Oct. 27, where a balanced budget was proposed. That budget, said Eric Burke, superintendent of schools, was made possible due to an operational referendum that passed last April.

Aspirus Health has announced that Aspirus Cardiology - Rhinelander has relocated from 2275 N. Shore Drive to its newly constructed space inside Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital, located at 2251 N. Shore Drive.
Rhinelander city council approves only one additional four-way stop downtown
The Rhinelander city council at its Oct. 27 meeting looked at the matter of room tax, changing that amount to 7 percent. This was the second reading of this ordinance, which passed unanimously. That change would go into effect on Jan. 1, 2026.
Rhinelander Area Community Band to perform free fall concert Nov. 5
The Rhinelander Area Community Band will present its annual fall concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the greenhouse at Forth Floral, 410 North Brown Street. The event is free and open to the public.

The Beck Family YMCA, Rhinelander, is holding its monthly Forever Learning on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at noon at the Y. To celebrate Veterans Day, Jill Geoffroy will be the guest speaker. She received her commission in the U.S. Army in 1991 and retired at the rank of major in 2013.
