A Rhinelander woman, referred to by many as their 'other mother,' celebrated her 100th birthday earlier this week at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. Flying leap
Dogs and their owners withstood the chill and rain to participate in the Happy Paws Outdoor Games Saturday at the Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport. Dogs participated in dock diving, radar run, agility and high jump. Proceeds went to the Oneida, Vilas and Forest county humane societies.

Car Hop
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church of Rhinelander held its annual Car Hop on Saturday, Aug. 12, at the church. More than 100 orders were taken during the 3 1/2-hour event that was used to raise money for the youth of the church and more than $1,600 was earned.
