Track: Hodag girls dominate Tomahawk Invite
Rhinelander won six events and added another 16 top-five finishes as it ran away with title in the 11-team Hatchet Invite in Tomahawk. The Hodags boys scored a lone win and had nine top-five finishes as they took home fourth at Hatchet Field.
RHS softball drops two GNC games
The Rhinelander High School softball team dropped a pair of conference games early this week. On Monday they traveled to Medford and lost to the Red Raiders 11-0. At home on Haug Diamond on Tuesday, the Hodags committed six errors in their 8-4 loss to Merrill.
Big numbers cost Hodag golfers at Black River
Rhinelander’s chances for a Great Northern Conference golf title this spring effectively came to an end Monday as the Hodags found trouble, and lots of it, at Black River Golf Course in Medford.

The Rhinelander High School baseball team enters this week on the precipice of its first conference championship in 14 years. The Hodags reached that point Friday with a commanding 8-1 victory over second-place Northland Pines in Eagle River.

The Rhinelander High School boys’ golf team saw the gap in the Great Northern Conference race grow a little bit Friday in the fourth round of the season at Eagle River Golf Course.
Hodag softball splits games at Shawano
The Rhinelander High School softball team split its games Saturday in Shawano, falling to the hosting Hawks 7-1 before winning a wild 12-10 affair over Waupaca as part of the Shawano quad.
