Hodag harriers battle elements at Hatchet Invite

Miserable weather and illness appeared to hamper the Rhinelander High School cross country team as it finished toward the back of the pack Saturday in the Hatchet Invite at Edgewater Country Club in Tomahawk.

Wednesday brought to a close the 2017 Rhinelander High School girls' tennis season, and the high school career for senior No. 1 singles player Belinda Weddle.

Merrill dampens Hodags homecoming

Merrill racked up 476 yards of offense, and scored on four of its first five possessions in the second half, to pull away to a 41-21 victory over the Hodags at Mike Webster Stadium.
