JV runners finish season at GNC meet
The final junior varsity race of the season for the Rhinelander High School cross country team was held last Saturday during the Great Northern Conference meet at Northland Pines High School in Eagle River.

Exceeding Axe-pectations
Senior quarterback Logan Freund accounted for 292 yards of offense and six touchdowns, sophomore Drake Martin added another 210 on the ground and the Hodags outgunned the Lakeland T-Birds 49-34 at Mike Webster Stadium.

Rhinelander struggles at GNC meet
The Rhinelander High School cross country team struggled to keep pace with the Great Northern Conference's elite Saturday, placing fifth in the girls' division and sixth in the boys' division in the conference meet at Northland Pines High School.

Richie Triplett's redirection of a corner kick in the 72nd minute tied it and Freddy Wisner won it with a long-range shot in the 88th minute as the Hodags rallied to defeat Medford 2-1 at Mike Webster Stadium.

Hodag spikers fall flat in home finale
Rhinelander gave up a 13-2 run to end the third set and was never really competitive in the fourth as it fell to the Raiders 3-1 to finish fifth in the Great Northern Conference standings.
Hodags bikers take sixth in Hayward
The Rhinelander Northwoods Composite mountain bike team posted a season-best tie for sixth place in the 38-team Division 2 standings in the Hayward Hustle, hosted at the Seeley OO Trailhead near Cable.
