Hodag netters go 1-3 at Wausau Invite
The Rhinelander High School boys' tennis team played four schools from the Green Bay area over the weekend, going 1-3 in an invitational in Wausau.
Heideman hits 300 wins
The Hodags dropped a total of eight games in two matches as they beat Phillips 7-0, 7-0 at Loggers Camp in Phillips - the 299th and 300th wins in coach Bob Heideman's boys' tennis career.
RHS softball uses twin magic to edge Medford
The Kuester twins - Makayla and Stephanie - both had big outings, one at the plate and one in the pitching circle, as Rhinelander held off Medford for a 5-2 win at Pioneer Park.
Baseball: McMurry, Raiders shut down Hodags
John McMurry, in his first varsity start, scattered four hits and outdueled Rhinelander's Brad Comer in a 1-0 victory for the Raiders at Stafford Field.
Medford no match for Hodag soccer
Medford was the latest team to be left in the Hodags' wake as Rhinelander exploded for seven goals over the final 27 minutes to defeat the Raiders via the mercy rule, 10-0, in 60 minutes Thursday in Stetsonville.

RHS beats Lakeland, splits games at Denmark
The Hodags played three games over the weekend, defeating Lakeland 15-0 Friday in a Great Northern Conference make-up game at Pioneer Park before splitting games Saturday in a triangular at Denmark. Rhinelander rallied past Kewaunee 5-4 Saturday before losing to the Vikings 12-2 in the second game.

Tennis: Hodags beat Antigo 4-3 to gain upper hand in GNC

Hodag golfers double down
Rhinelander won back-to-back meets Monday and Tuesday, first winning a triangular at the Irish Course at Whistling Straits Monday in Kohler and then taking the first leg of the GNC tournament Tuesday at Inshalla Country Club in Tomahawk.
