The Rebels had their chances but dropped a pair of one-run games in the Antigo Post 3 invite. Rhinelander fell to New London 3-2 in the opener and to Antigo 5-4 in the nightcap.

Lawrence ties for second in state high jump
Lawrence tied her personal best of 5 feet, 2 inches, in the high jump at the WIAA state track meet Saturday in La Crosse. It was still good enough to tie for second in the field of 17 competitors.
Hodags break school records, place 5th & 6th in sprint relays at state
The Hodags smashed their own school records in the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays in Friday's preliminaries at the WIAA state track meet in La Crosse and followed that up Saturday with near-record performances in both events to place on the podium in Division 2 competition.
Hodags get by Merrill 4-0 in regional soccer finals
Rachel Steffen one-hopped a shot from nearly 50 yards into the goal in the 51st minute, helping to propel the Hodags to a 4-0 victory over the Bluejays at the RHS soccer fields in a Division 2 regional final.
Babe Ruth Roundup
Northwoods Babe Ruth League play is picking up as the calendar turns to June. Rhinelander's Senior League teams got together Friday in a tight intra-city battle.
Golf team honored
The Rhinelander High School golf team held its season-ending banquet at Northwood Golf Club Thursday, May 30.
