APPLETON - There will be no Cinderella run for the Rhinelander High School boys' basketball team in the WIAA tournament this year. The Hodags ran into too strong of an opponent Friday night and never had the strength to match.

Two earn All-GNC honors for Hodag hoops

Junior Will Gretzinger received second-team honors and senior Kyle Brown took home honorable mention for a Rhinelander team that finished in the middle of the pack, fourth in the GNC with a 6-6 mark in league play.

Plenty in reserve

Rhinelander used a balanced attack - six different players had at least eight points - and rolled past Ashland 73-49 in a Division 2 regional quarterfinal at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
