River Monsters fall to Dairyland-leading Everest in rain-shortened game
The Rhinelander River Monsters were supposed to play 14 innings against the Everest Merchants on the road in Weston Friday, June 19. Thanks to Mother Nature, only five of those innings were completed.

Team Review: RHS softball
The Rhinelander High School softball team ended the season with an improved record from the two seasons prior, going 10-15 on the year and 4-9 in the Great Northern Conference. Last season, the Hodags went 2-10 in conference and 5-16 overall, while 2024 produced a 1-11 GNC record (1-16 overall).
Babe Ruth: Hodag rallies fall short against Tomahawk, Eagle River
A fifth-inning rally came up short Tuesday, June 16 as Rhinelander fell to Tomahawk 11-8 in Babe Ruth play at the Rhinelander High School baseball field.
SDR to offer youth tennis lessons
The School District of Rhinelander Community Education Program is offering tennis lessons for youth entering grades 3-5 in late July and early August.
