Hodags swimmers roll to eighth straight GNC title
The cast of characters may have changed significantly from last year, but the end result was still the same for the Rhinelander High School boys’ swim team in the Great Northern Conference.
Kraemer to reduce role with RHS track program
Aaron Kraemer is taking a lesser role with the Rhinelander High School track program this coming spring. Kraemer, who has led the program since 2019, will scale back to a volunteer assistant’s role on an interim basis while Rod Olson will be promoted to interim head boys’ coach.
Lindner wins title at inaugural GNC/WVC girls’ tourney

A recurring shoulder injury kept the Rhinelander High School football team from seeing Caden Sieker’s full potential over the last couple of seasons, but the times he was healthy enough to play have allowed him a chance to play at the next level.

Offensive struggles had the Rhinelander High School girls’ basketball team on its heels for a better part of a half, but the Hodags eventually found enough of a stride to take care of Northland Pines.
Hodag gymnasts down Lakeland, remain undefeated in GNC Small
Junior Emeline Hintz won two events and the all-around, fellow junior Alexis Smith won the other two events and the Hodags cruised to a 119.9-112.875 win over Lakeland/Northland Pines Thursday, Feb. 5 in Minocqua.

More teams, state qualifiers in D2 swimming in 2026-27
More teams will compete in Division 2 in boys’ and girls’ swimming and the division will have more individual state qualifiers in 2026-27 following changes approved by the WIAA Board of Control during its meeting Wednesday, Feb. 4 in Stevens Point.

Devon Feck knocked down seven 3-pointers, and scored a game-high 28 points, as the Hodags defeated Wisconsin Rapids 63-44 in non-conference play at the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium.
