Rebels look to ride momentum of spring baseball season
Though the Rhinelander High School baseball team’s tournament run ended sooner than it would have hoped, many of those same players will be back on the diamond this summer where they hope to get another shot at a deep postseason push.

Eight members of the Rhinelander High School girls’ soccer team received all-conference recognition Monday when the Great Northern Conference released its all conference team for the 2026 season.

RHS girls’ soccer wins regional championship
The Rhinelander High School girls’ soccer team won its first WIAA regional championship since 2023 at Mike Webster Stadium on Saturday. The Hodags outlasted Ashland in penalty kicks 4-3 to advance to the sectional semifinal against Lakeland on Thursday.

The Rhinelander High School baseball team lost 5-4 in the WIAA regional semifinal to the Bloomer Blackhawks at Stafford Field on June 2. The top-seeded Hodags got off to a shaky start against 9-seed Bloomer and weren’t able to get over the hump after a four-run Bloomer fourth inning.

Nine Rhinelander High School baseball team members were named to the Great Northern Conference all conference baseball team, the conference announced last Friday.
Hodag softball team hands out awards
The Rhinelander High School softball team closed the book on its 2026 season with a banquet Monday at Mike Webster Stadium. In addition to varsity letters, the team handed out three awards that were voted upon by the players and coaches.
