The Aug. 10 regular meeting of the Rhinelander common council saw the introduction of a proposed new approach to the city’s shoplifters. Created by city attorney Steve Sorensen and police chief Josh Chiamulera, proposed Ordinance 2026-9 had its first of two readings on the busy agenda.
