Bruce Erick Kohn

Bruce Erick Kohn, of Rhinelander, passed away on May 22, 2025, at 80, after a hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. He grew up in Cloquet, Minn., and attended the University of Minnesota, receiving his master’s degree in wildlife biology and forestry. He served the DNR for over 30 years as a research biologist. His research papers formulate the management principles that control the Wisconsin black bear.
