Last April, when the WIAA first broached the subject of including name, image and likeness (NIL) language into its constitution for student athletes, the measure failed on a vote of its membership by 49 votes. More than 100 school delegates who voted against NIL last spring changed their minds this year — and some of the votes that flipped came from the Northwoods.
