The Rhinelander/Northland Pines boys' Alpine ski team dropped its first race of the season on Thursday. Mishaps on slalom and Wausau United's home hill advantage were too much to overcome as the Hodags finished second behind Wausau in the Northern Conference's stop at Granite Peak.
