The Hodag Heritage Festival returned to Rhinelander's Pioneer Park on May 21, 2022. The event consisted of lectures explaining the history of the Hodag legend, a Hodag calling contest, live music and other attractions celebrating the community's mythical mascot. (subscriber access)
