Opening fishing weekend brought mixed results

Weeks ahead should bring good fishing

Winter seemed to linger longer than normal this year, with many anglers wondering whether their favorite fishing lake would even be free of ice by opening weekend. Rain and warmer temps did finally arrive, though, and many lakes were fishable by opening weekend. (subscriber access)
