Rhinelander Planning Commission takes first step in annexation request

Commercial development eyed for vacant land along Highway 17 bypass

If you type in the address "1205 Chippewa Drive" into a GPS device, you'll find it is currently in a wooded area on the west side of the State Highway 17 bypass. The owner of that land has petitioned the City of Rhinelander to have it annexed into the city from the Town of Pine Lake. (subscriber access)
