Warm weather may bring about blue green algae blooms
As water temperatures warm with July's warmer air temperatures, many lakes in the Northwoods can become a breeding ground for blue green algae blooms, or Cyanobacteria blooms. Knowing what to look for can go a long way toward keeping people and pets safe from its toxic effects.
