The James Williams Middle School cross country team took part in the Northland Pines Invitational Tuesday, Oct. 5 in Eagle River. The Hodags placed five runners in the top eight overall to win the girls' division. The Hodag boys were second in their division. Ella Miljevich led the JWMS girls, taking second overall in a time of 13 minutes, 43.7 seconds in the 3.2-kilometer race. Lucy Eddy finished third, Kayla Skubal was fifth, Karly Gillingham finished seventh and Aleece Johnson was eighth. Jackson Weinzatl finished fifth (12:54.6) to lead the JWMS boys. Avrom Barr was ninth, Olin Slette finished 10th, Michael Treddupp was 15th and Aidan Lueder finished 18th.
