Warren Wendt, age 64, of Minocqua, died peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 12, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer. Warren was born on April 23, 1956 to Edgar and Belle (Hulce) Wendt. He was raised in Rhinelander and attended the local high school, where he was president of his senior class. After graduating, he pursued higher education and ultimately achieved a master's degree in finance from the University of Nevada, Reno. Warren's career was initially grounded in the healthcare field where he was Director of Surgery at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno, Nevada. He then moved on to be Director of Surgery at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill. Warren then held various positions at healthcare facilities in the Northwoods. Later in life, he was an SEC licensed securities trader and dealer, as well as investment banker that strived to help bring start-up projects to fruition.
