Happy Juneteenth! Let's just call the whole emergency off

The ink wasn't even dry on President Joe Biden's proclamation declaring Friday, June 18, to be the first observance of Juneteenth Day, the new federal holiday, when the federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) decided they would take the day off and promptly canceled an emergency meeting of the government's vaccine advisory committee.
