The third annual Rod Gaskill Memorial Bass Tournament will be held on Boom Lake on Aug. 21. Gaskill was an avid bass angler, having moved to Rhinelander from Las Vegas in the 1990s. He was one of the early members of the Hodag Bassmasters bass club and served as tournament director for the Boom Lake Open for many years. (subscriber access)
