Preliminary numbers show deer hunting licenses down slightly

Harvest down 7.9% statewide

According to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), deer license sales for all categories were down 1.5% from last year as of November 28, 2021. This included license sales for gun, bow, crossbow, sports and patrons licenses, with a total of 808,224 and 564,440 being for gun season, which includes gun, sports and patron licenses.
