Community recycling program underway

Plastic has become a way of life in a society that uses plastic bottles, bags and packaging on a daily basis. But because only a small percentage of plastic is recycled or incinerated, U.S. landfills pile on inconceivable amounts of plastic waste that takes hundreds - if not thousands - of years to decompose.
