Supporters of BLM organize peaceful demonstration in Rhinelander
While protests and demonstrations, some of which have turned violent, continue to take place across the U.S. in response to the death of an unarmed black man at the knee of a white Minneapolis police officer, a gathering at the Oneida County Courthouse in Rhinelander Monday to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement was peaceful. A crowd of between 75 and 100 people stood on the courthouse lawn, and later marched to the Rhinelander Police Department, while holding signs pleading for justice, and changes to police methods, in memory of George Floyd.
