Eric H. Voss
Another name was added to the list of deceased Iraq War veterans when Eric H. Voss was found in his Stevens Point apartment. He was a victim of numerous health problems related to Post Traumatic Stress Disease which was caused by his three years of duty in Iraq. As a Staff Sergeant he was, among other duties, given the task of being the lead vehicle in the night-time convoys which traveled approximately 12 hours a day for a 15-month deployment, and securing the guard tower on another 12-month deployment. Despite being shot at in the towers or having been present when IEDs were exploding on the roads during the convoys, he was not injured physically. Unfortunately, his nerves were shattered and he became a person displaying all the classic symptoms of PTSD. God spared him further suffering by taking him home in June, 2020.
