Unit tests foam then pumps it back into fire truck
Rhinelander-Oneida County Airport employees will no longer have to pour a small amount of aqueous fire fighting foam (AFFF) into a bucket as part of annual effectiveness testing. On Aug. 19, the airport received a new tester that connects the truck to the tester and sends the AFFF back to the holding tank in a closed system, airport director Matt Leitner explained Thursday.
