Judge cites defendant's criminal record, gravity of offense in Moren sentencing decision

When Isaiah A.V. Moren, 23, appeared before Oneida County Circuit Court Judge Patrick O'Melia for sentencing on Friday Aug. 14, on charges of second-degree sexual assault and second-degree reckless injury in connection with a physical and sexual assault of a 76-year-old woman, he had already seen the inside of a courtroom quite a few times since becoming an adult.
