2020 fishing opener should bring good results
This year's fishing opener finds the state, and indeed the country, experiencing unprecedented challenges, with social distancing the new buzzword and many people staying close to home. In recent weeks, some municipal launch ramps around the state have been closed and then reopened. Some, in other parts of the state, are still closed. Many state parks in the southern part of the state were closed, meaning access to the lakes within those parks was also limited. Those parks and launches have now been set to reopen today, May 1.
