Study results show ruffed grouse able to fend off West Nile virus

In the fall of 2018 the departments of natural resources in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan began collecting samples of ruffed grouse from hunters in an effort to gauge the influence of West Nile virus (WNV) on the grouse population of the upper Midwest. (subscriber access)
