Northwoods softball teams fall in quarterfinals of Pines tourney
EAGLE RIVER - Sixteen youth softball teams descended upon Northland Pines High School on Friday and Saturday for a tournament with eight 12U and 14U teams apiece. Northwoods Fastpitch, a co-op of players from the Rhinelander, Eagle River and Lakeland areas, entered teams in both divisions, eyeing a tournament championship.
