To call 2018 an eventful year would be a gross understatement. In a 12-month period Rhinelander's city government was transformed, ownership of one of the area's largest employers changed hands and an arrest was made in a 36-year-old murder case. The subject of mining in the town of Lynne generated considerable controversy as well as a non-binding referendum.
