Pelican Lake turns on for Hodag Musky Challenge
Nearly 100 two-angler teams took to several area lakes this weekend in search of the fish of 10,000 casts, the elusive muskellunge, as part of the 36th annual Hodag Musky Challenge. Many anglers have fished the Hodag Musky Challenge several times, with a few fishing over 25 of the 36 years. This year Pelican Lake, which showed anglers little in the way of action last year, proved itself to be the star. (Subscriber access)
