Cyclist dies following three-vehicle accident in Pelican
A cyclist involved in a three-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in the town of Pelican has died. According to the Oneida County sheriff's office, a call came in at approximately 3:41 p.m. Thursday reporting a motorcycle versus truck accident on County Highway P. The operator of the motorcycle, Charles S. Eye, 26, of Rhinelander, was transported to Ascension Saint Mary's Hospital and then airlifted by helicopter to a hospital outside the area. Eye later died of his injuries, the sheriff's office said Friday.
