The only real sign of spring Monday when the Rhinelander High School softball team started practice was the lack of players in the Jim Miazga Community Gymnasium. That's not because of a lack of interest in a team that has won 18 or more games in each of the last three seasons. That's because Monday was also the start of spring break in the School District of Rhinelander. (subscriber access)
