Local students take TrigStar exam
This spring semester, 16 students from Northland Pines High School (NPHS) and 37 students at Rhinelander High School (RHS) participated in the TrigStar exam. The exam is a local, state and national, timed mathematics exam using trigonometry and geometry as it relates to the field of land surveying, according to a press release announcing the students' accomplishment. Each student is given three, multi-stage questions and 60 minutes to complete the exam, worth 100 points and a little pocket money.
