PRAT money will make immediate impact on repairs
In campaigning for taxpayers to approve a premier resort area tax, city of Rhinelander officials repeatedly stated the revenue generated would be used to make much-needed repairs to city roads. The voters approved the tax in April 2016 and it went into effect Jan. 1. The city received its first payment - $83,222.01 - in June and has since been compiling a list of roads to be repaired first.
