Plane lands safely in Arbor Vitae despite landing gear malfunction
No one was injured Tuesday in the emergency landing of a Cessna 172 airplane at Lakeland Airport in Arbor Vitae. According to Vilas County authorities, a sheriff's dispatcher put in a call to Arbor Vitae fire and rescue at approximately 11:54 a.m. Tuesday asking to have trucks and personnel standby for an aircraft with a mechanical issue involving the landing gear.
